Bedford Hospital Carers Hub
Bedford Hospital Carers Hub
A hospital admission can feel scary and overwhelming when you are caring for someone.
The Carers Hub sits within the Patient Experience Hub alongside the PALS department, at Bedford South Wing.
At the hub, Carers can receive support in a safe and confidential setting, where our hospital link workers can:
- Give emotional support and offer practical advice around a caring role
- Help Carers to understand hospital processes and provide an advocacy service, liaising with hospital staff and external agencies
- Guide Carers living in, or caring for someone living within, in the Bedford Borough or Central Bedfordshire to ongoing support including:
- Dedicated wellbeing practitioner and counselling service
- Employment support
- Benefits and welfare advice
- Opportunities to meet with other Carers at groups and events.
The Carers Hub is staffed Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 4:30pm.
You can also contact support workers at the Hub on 07772 231 230 / ext. 5247 or email carershub@carersinbeds.org.uk.
How to find us: The Patient Experience Hub (formerly PALS) at Bedford Hospital South Wing, walk down the Britannia Road corridor and follow signs to Faith and Belief Room.
